Sarah Edwards, LCMHCA - Therapist

My name is Sarah Edwards and I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate and a Certified Trauma Professional.

I believe that every individual is created unique and deserves a counselor who will meet them where they are in their healing journey. Women who deal with anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, low self-esteem, unhealthy thought patterns, sexual trauma, grief, attachment issues, or identity issues are welcome. Most women want to be able to live their life to the fullest that life has to offer, while being the healthiest version of themselves. They want to be free from the issues that they believe hold them back from their truest life potential.

I mostly utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach, while incorporating techniques from other modalities, such as DBT, ACT, Attachment Theory, Person-Centered, and Somatic Trauma Healing Therapy. I have 9 years of experience working with women who have encountered childhood sexual abuse and experience with other types of trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, and attachment issues.

I offer a safe, compassionate, nonjudgemental space for women to let their guards down so that they can find the healing they need to live their fullest life. I am passionate about helping women heal from their hurt and pain and empower them to find and use their strengthened self-confidence and voice.
