Candace “Candy” Vivas, MA, BASc, LPC - Therapist and HR Admin

South Carolina

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the state of South Carolina with a specialization in individual psychotherapy. After serving as a medic with the United States Air Force, I received my Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing and Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Wayland Baptist University.

My interest and focus is on depression, anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, dissociative identity disorder (DID), borderline personality disorder (BPD), addiction, life transitions, those in the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and first generation Americans of immigrant families. Additionally, I offer personality and mood disorder assessments or screenings for those unsure of what they are struggling with and would like a diagnostic answer.

Working to treat people with respect, acceptance, and kindness are my founding objectives for professional practice. With this in mind, I feel that the therapeutic relationship is the most fundamental aspect to my integrative and holistic approach to therapy. I often employ a variety of therapies (cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment, solution-based, and reality) in my sessions, which are tailored to each client’s unique situation.

I am proudly raising five sons, and deeply committed to my faith and family,. I love spontaneous adventures, and am an avid gardener.
